With a wide band and heavy appearance, this solid gold signet ring can be customised with your unique family crest, resulting in a truly unique piece that can be used to create wax seals.
Seal engravings can be stamped into wax to create an impression in relief. Each seal is engraved entirely by hand using traditional methods, resulting in a beautiful, and highly detailed engraving. Traditionally used to seal envelopes and sign documents, seal signet rings have been used for centuries, and are often prized family heirlooms.
If you have an existing image of your family crest, or would like to create a new crest, we can develop the design to ensure it will fit perfectly onto the face of the ring, providing you with digital mock ups before beginning the project. Please email us if you wish to begin this process.
Not all family crests will fit onto the face of this ring, due to the varying level of detail present in some crests. In some cases, the design of the crest may need to be simplified, or a larger signet may need to be created.
Seals are typically engraved in reverse, ensuring the wax impression appears correctly when stamped. However, it's also possible to engrave the design in a deeper style without reversing it, if you prefer that aesthetic.
This ring is custom made to order. It will take approximately four weeks to be made, plus shipping time. If you need your jewellery for a certain date, please email before ordering, so we can make sure your piece will be ready in time.
